Until the Captain America movie came along, it was difficult to get a hold of the Marvel Comics character. There was a slew of attempts to get it right, and a few failures. However, the film still works 23 years later.
There is a lot to like about the Captain America movie. It has retro-futuristic technology and a moving theme song. It’s also got some fun action scenes. The best part is that it doesn’t make you feel like you’re watching a low budget version of the comic book.
The film is also the first of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to feature a female protagonist. The actress playing Peggy Carter is Kim Gillingham. Her performance isn’t bad, but she’s not as good as some of the other ladies in the MCU.
It’s not as bad as the first two movies. It does have some decent action, but it’s not as good as it could have been. It also doesn’t really have a big climax.
The main character, Steve Rodgers, is a boy from Southern California who offers himself up to the experiment that turns him into a super soldier. When he wakes up, he realizes he’s been trapped in ice for sixty years. Then he finds out that Red Skull is still alive. Then he goes on a quest to slay the evil Red Skull.
Despite its shortcomings, the Captain America movie is a fun experience. You’ll probably want to watch it again.
