Captain America Action Figure Review

A great figure from the Marvel Legends line. Hasbro has done a great job of capturing the look of Steve Rogers in his classic red, white and blue uniform. The sculpt on the chest, shoulders and arms is fantastic and has an excellent range of motion in most joints. The figure also looks fantastic, the color choice is really nice and it’s clean and crisp compared to some other figures in the same scale. The figure is a little light on accessories but still comes with an awesome shield, a holster for his Colt 1911 pistol and a peg for holding his masked head.

This version of Captain America was released as part of the second year of the Marvel Legends relaunch in 2015 as a part of the Mandroid Series. The Movie Series line is based on the new costumes worn in the film Avengers: Age of Ultron and this figure is a repaint of the Winter Soldier version but in the standard colors for Captain America from the film. This figure also has a resculpted Shield to match the one used in the film.

This figure is very well designed and has a great range of movement for a Marvel Legends figure. It has a ball-hinged neck that gives good up, down and left/right movements plus swivel shoulders, biceps and torso articulation. The elbows are double-jointed and tight and the wrists have a good range of motion. The knees have a swivel hinge and the ankle rockers are pretty decent as well. He has a variety of alternate hands that include closed fists, open saluting and shield-holding hands and a pointing hand. This figure also includes a reversible backdrop that shows a destroyed city from World War 2 or a classic comic book image of Cap.
