Why My Love For Captain America Has Been a True catalyst in My Life
As a child, my father would listen to the adventures of Captain America and dream about being just like him. The very thought of being an adventurer and having a fighting hero for a father’s name is something that I carry with me to this day. When I think of my father, the first thing that comes to mind are his adventures in outer space, fighting bad guys and saving the world. Although his life was not a simple one, he lived his life with the knowledge that he could always find a way to be a better man. He did not allow life to stop him from going after what he desired and became the ultimate hero in his own mind.
Since having my Captain America toys, I have been inspired to be an adventurous, strong and determined man. Although I have not yet found the perfect role model in the real-world, there is no doubt that my love for Captain America has allowed me to do just that. When people ask me what my philosophy is about being a superhero or how I became a captain America, I always tell them that it was because of my love for this great hero. When I see all of the fans that are out there supporting their favorite characters, it is all worth it to me to be associated with that kind of fame and I will do what I can to live up to the expectations.
One of my favorite parts of the Captain America franchise is his relationship with Sam Wilson, the new captain of the police force. Wilson is a young ex-con who was fired from his job when Bucky Barnes, who was now the head of Hap Arnold’s gang, took over the illegal Blackacre criminal operation. Instead of trying to take over the city like Barnes did, Wilson instead became a valued friend to Barnes and offered to help him go after Barnes and anyone else who may become a threat to the new regime. It was through Wilson’s help that Sam was able to locate and defeat Barnes and his gang, which ended the reign of Blackacre and cleared Cap’s name of any wrong doing. I know that Cap is my favorite super hero and I always want to pay tribute to the man and his amazing character in the Winter Soldier movie.
