Which Captain America Costume Should You Wear This Halloween?

Whether you’re heading out to trick or treat, taking your little ones to the pumpkin patch, or heading to see the new Avengers film (or, you know, just chilling on the couch watching Netflix), this is the perfect time of year to get your superhero costume on. Of course, the first question is always – which one to wear? There are many incarnations of the Marvel character Captain America, and each one has their own defining features. From his classic USO performance uniform in World War II to the field uniform he wears while protecting brainwashed former sidekick Bucky Barnes, the superhero’s costumes have come a long way.

After winning the war in his first appearance, Captain America got a more sophisticated field suit designed by Howard Stark. This version had a flat look that completely eschewed any texture, which some fans were not keen on.

But then came the reimagined version that Chris Evans wore in Avengers: Civil War, and it was a hit with both fans and critics alike. This costume made Steve Rogers seem bigger than life, and it perfectly portrayed his character’s sense of heroism and morality. Plus, it looked really cool when he slammed his shield against the ground – which is a majorly satisfying action move.

To recreate this costume, simply pick up a brown biker leather jacket and tactical pants. Then, find a pair of brown gloves and a shield. You can even add a pair of brown boots, but I would recommend adding those once you’ve got the rest of your costume together.
