Throughout the years, Captain America has had his hands full with some of the most evil villains in the Marvel universe. Some of these villains are the newest, while others have been around for years. This list of the best villains in Cap’s history may not be comprehensive, but it does include some of the more popular and iconic villains.
One of the most powerful recurring villains in Cap’s history is Batroc. Batroc was a French fighter who mastered the savate. He speaks with a thick French accent. Aside from being one of the most bizarre characters in Cap’s history, Batroc is also one of the most ridiculous.
Another weird character in Cap’s history is Doctor Faustus. While not necessarily a super villain, he is a mastermind behind the neo-Nazi National Force, a group of villains who battled the Avengers in Avengers #6. While Faustus is not a Captain America villain, he does have a very deep connection with the hero.
Another of the most impressive Captain America villains is Superia. While not necessarily a super villain, she is a criminal genius, a polymath, and is one of Captain America’s greatest enemies. She wants to be the only woman on Earth with reproductive capabilities.
Another villain of the aforementioned magnitude is the Serpent Society. These snake-inspired mercenaries fought with Cap throughout the years. They’ve included Copperhead, Sidewinder, and Princess Python. In fact, the Serpent Society is so big, that they almost ended Sam Wilson’s tenure as Captain America.
