Captain America: No I Don; I Think I Will – As the name suggests, the movie revolves around the life of Steve Rogers. In the early 1960s, when Captain America was created, he was a perfect soldier, able to take on any enemy that would face him. He had no superhuman abilities and was just a normal man, living in modern times. However, due to some experimentation, a serum was produced which changed Captain America’s body into an indestructible metal. After this, his super-strong muscles were given a more primitive appearance and a red cape was attached to the suit.
The basic story line of the movie revolves around Steve Rogers being presumed dead after getting hit by a truck in the middle of a battle. He survived the hit but suffered brain damage that left him with amnesia. He was found miraculously alive 10 years later and now, with the help of various artifacts, he can recall everything that happened to him during his short time of amnesia. Because of this, he must fight various versions of the villains, while battling each other to regain control over his life and his comic book world.
One of the most interesting subplots of the movie concerns how Captain America interacts with the other superheroes. Because of the way the Captain America franchise is usually told, it seems that Cap is always fighting some version of Spiderman or the Hulk, and never any version of Iron Man. But the true fact is that Cap doesn’t fight off these superheros, he fights them because they want to take over the world. This is evident by how, after discovering that Bucky Barnes is alive, Cap goes to Bucky’s house and fights him there, nearly killing him.
Another interesting subplot revolves around the relationships that Cap has developed with various members of the Avengers. These relationships are shown to be more complicated and intertwined than Cap’s relationships with other members of the team, as they often times include both Cap and Hulk. It’s because of this that the story can become quite long at times.
Overall, this movie is a fun watch, although there are some minor flaws. One of the biggest problems is that, for all of its talk about superpowers, Cap doesn’t really use his powers to save the world very often in this film. He saves the Earth pretty much one time when he needs to, but other than that, his power is seldom used. Other than that, this is a fun and entertaining movie that anyone could enjoy.
If you’re going to watch this movie, then I recommend that you do so with the understanding that, in the future, we’ll probably see more of Cap in the future. Because of this, I recommend that if you have any confusion about what happens in this movie, you watch it with someone else who knows what’s going on. That way you can both be happy with the ending. After all, even superheroes have weaknesses.
