Captain America: Issue One is the first comic book issue published by Marvel, and it is the very first appearance of the superhero. It debuted in 1960, and it was an instant hit. It flew off the shelves, and made Simon and Kirby hot property. The creators of the popular superhero created the first ten issues, and they were soon lured away from Timely Comics to National/DC, which had the financial resources to pay them well.
Timely Publications was the publisher, and the comics were entered at Meriden, Conn., post office as second-class mail. The issue was produced in the U.S.A., with cover art by John Sargent. In the issue, Steve Rogers fights the evil Hydra. In the subsequent issues, the superhero faces the world’s greatest challenges. As such, issue one of Captain America will be an important issue for Marvel and fans of the superhero.
United States of Captain America issue #1 was written by Christopher Cantwell and illustrated by Dale Eaglesham and Matt Milla. The book also contains a back-up story by Josh Trujillo and a backup story by Jan Bazaldua. It is published by Marvel Comics. If you’re looking for a comic book to read or collect, this is definitely the one to get. It’s worth the time to pick up a copy.
