Captain America is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was created by cartoonists Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, and first appeared in Captain America Comics #1, published by Timely Comics (a predecessor of Marvel). In the comic book, Captain America fights crime and protects the American people.
During the Second World War, Captain America became a super soldier by volunteering for the OSS (the secret military force). As the most valuable asset of the American military, he embodied all of the nation’s values and helped defeat the Nazis. His greatest moments came during World War Two, when his abilities shone brightest. To honor this, Marvel Studios incorporated many aspects of Captain America’s WWII suit into his Endgame costume.
The ending of Captain America: Endgame is one of the most controversial moments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While some fans found the movie tense, others felt that the film was a triumph for the MCU. Despite the fact that the movie follows the same timeline as Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the movie ends with an emotional conclusion to Steve Rogers’ saga.
Though Captain America has been absent from the MCU for the last few years, his legacy lives on in Sam Wilson. A new Captain America embodied by a new character, the new Captain America is a watershed moment for the MCU. However, the MCU has not been clear on how it will move forward, and it is hard to predict the fate of the characters.
